The Armadillo
Armadillos are small to medium-sized mammals. They are proficient diggers, using their sharp claws to unearth various ants and grubs for them to eat along with creating the dens in which they live. There are a variety of armadillo species that exist. Most armadillos are covered in armor-like plates made of skin and dermal bone, which they use as protection from predators. There are occasions that armadillos use their sharp digging claws to protect themselves if they feel threatened. We recommend not trying to catch any of these animals yourselves. Armadillos may look cute, but you can get hurt by their claws, and armadillos are also known to carry diseases that can be transmitted to you or your pets.
